The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

To get the Duke of Edinburgh award you have to do four different activities under the headings of Skills, Service, Physical, and Expedition.

The Awards

Bronze D of E badge
At Bronze, you need to spend at least 3 months on each section, and at least 6 months on one of your choice. Plus an exedition.
Silver D of E badge
At Silver, you need to spend at least 6 months on Service and one other section, and at least 3 months on the other. Plus an expedition.
Gold D of E badge
At Gold, you need to spend at least 12 months on Service and one other section, and at least 6 months on the other. Plus an expedition and a Residential project.
 

Skills

For the Skills section you have to learn a new skill. Such as making a website.

Service

In the Service section you help other people in the local community. This can include helping out in our BB company by doing games with the younger members.

Physical

For the Physical section you have to do a new sport - you can choose what you want from football to snowboarding.

Expedition

In the Expedition section you have to go on a camp somewhere and travel for at least 2 days in the countryside. You can travel by walking, biking, on a horse or in a boat. You have to carry all the equipment with you and cook and sleep in a tent.
